About these Terms
These Terms explain the rules for using TALYN, creating an account, discovering talent, sending enquiries and managing bookings. By using the platform, you agree to these Terms and any policy that applies to a feature you use.
If you book for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to act for it.
About TALYN
TALYN is a marketplace connecting customers with independent talent and authorised representatives. Unless expressly stated, TALYN is not the performer, employer, manager or event organiser.
TALYN operates the platform; Talent provides the service; a Customer books it; and a Manager or Agency acts only where authorised.
Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter a contract and meet the minimum age confirmed before launch. Under-18 talent will require verified parent or guardian consent and additional safeguards.
Accounts
Provide accurate information, protect your sign-in details and report suspected unauthorised access. Do not impersonate another person or create misleading accounts. Switching roles does not remove the duties attached to each role.
Talent profiles
Talent must keep biographies, media, general location, availability, pricing guidance, credentials and services accurate. A verified badge records specified checks; it is not a guarantee of quality or suitability for every event.
Managers and agencies
A manager or agency must have permission to create profiles, communicate, negotiate or accept terms for each talent. TALYN may request evidence of authority and remove access where it is disputed.
Customers and bookers
Customers must provide a truthful brief, including date, venue, timings, audience, access, technical requirements and material safety information. The person enquiring must have authority to approve the booking.
Marketplace relationship
The performance contract is generally between the Customer and the relevant Talent or authorised supplier. TALYN provides discovery, communication, workflow and support tools. The final legal structure must align with TALYN's confirmed payment arrangements.
Bookings
An enquiry, shortlist, availability response or accepted offer is not by itself a confirmed booking. A booking is formed only when the Talent has accepted the final offer, the Customer has paid the amount shown as due, and TALYN has issued a booking confirmation.
Until then, any date hold is temporary and may expire at the time shown in the booking workspace.
Pricing and offers
Profile prices may be starting prices. Every final offer should itemise the performance fee, travel, accommodation, production, staffing, tax, TALYN fees and agreed extras before payment.
Any pre-event cost requested by Talent must be included in the offer and approved in TALYN. Undisclosed direct payments are not part of the protected booking.
Payment schedules
The current proposed schedule is: events within 30 days require 100% at confirmation; events 31–90 days away require 50%; and events more than 90 days away require 30%. Any remaining balance is due 30 days before the event.
The checkout must show the exact amount due now, any later balance and its due date before the Customer commits. These rules are configurable and the version presented at checkout applies to that booking.
Payments
Payment will be processed by an authorised third-party provider under its own terms once that integration is active. TALYN must not describe funds as escrowed, safeguarded, protected or released in a particular way unless the selected provider and legal structure genuinely support that description.
A failed or reversed payment does not confirm a booking. If a later balance is not paid by its deadline, TALYN may pause or cancel the booking after appropriate notice and subject to the applicable cancellation terms.
TALYN fees
Any service, booking, payment or talent fee will be disclosed before commitment. Applicable taxes and the party responsible for them must also be clear.
Talent payouts
Payout eligibility may depend on successful payment, completion of the agreed service, identity and account verification, and the absence of an active dispute, refund, chargeback or safety review. Exact payout timing and methods will be published only after the payment operating model is confirmed.
Booking Protection
Booking Protection is intended to provide a documented offer, payment record and support route for eligible on-platform bookings. It may help TALYN assess cancellations, material service failures, no-shows and genuine disputes.
It is not insurance, a satisfaction guarantee or a promise that every loss will be reimbursed. Eligibility, evidence and exclusions apply equally to Customers and Talent.
Cancellations
The current proposed Customer refund bands are 80% when more than 90 days remain, 70% at 61–90 days, 50% at 31–60 days, 25% at 15–30 days and 0% within 14 days. The final approved policy, including any non-refundable agreed costs and legal rights, must be shown before payment and again before cancellation.
If Talent cancels, TALYN may assist with a suitable replacement or process the remedy allowed by the applicable policy. A replacement is never automatic and requires Customer approval.
Refunds
Eligibility is determined by the confirmed booking terms, Cancellation Policy, Booking Protection and non-waivable consumer rights. Processing may also depend on the payment provider.
Changes to a booking
Material changes to date, venue, duration, performance, fee, travel or production requirements need agreement by affected parties. The change must be proposed and accepted in the booking workspace; a revised offer, payment or refund may be required before it takes effect.
No-shows
Report a no-show promptly through the booking workspace and provide relevant evidence. TALYN may investigate, restrict accounts and apply approved protection or cancellation rules.
Disputes
Parties should first use the booking thread and support route and provide relevant evidence, including messages, agreed requirements, arrival information and proof of performance or non-performance. Customer-caused delay, unsafe conditions, denied access or material brief changes may affect the outcome.
TALYN may review relevant records and temporarily pause a payout or refund where the operating model permits, but it does not replace a court, regulator or independent dispute service.
Off-platform payments and circumvention
Do not move an introduced booking or related payment outside TALYN to avoid platform fees or protections. TALYN cannot support, document or assess money paid outside its approved checkout, and serious or repeated circumvention may lead to account restriction.
Chargebacks and fraud
Users must not knowingly submit false disputes, misuse chargebacks, use unauthorised payment methods or misrepresent service delivery. TALYN and its payment provider may request evidence, restrict accounts and recover amounts where legally permitted.
Concierge
Concierge can shape a brief, shortlist talent and support communication. It does not guarantee availability, suitability, acceptance or an event outcome and does not replace the Customer's own checks.
Location and discovery
Location tools may use a city, service radius or temporary availability area. A talent's private home address and precise live location must not be displayed publicly.
In Town and Stopover
These opt-in features let eligible talent show temporary availability elsewhere. Talent controls participation and can stop it. Participation does not force a discount or guarantee bookings.
Reviews and user content
Users retain ownership of eligible original content but grant TALYN the limited rights needed to host and display it. Reviews must reflect genuine experiences and may be moderated for fraud, abuse, privacy or legal concerns.
User conduct
Do not harass, discriminate unlawfully, evade agreed platform fees, spam, manipulate reviews, infringe rights, misuse personal data, upload unlawful material or use TALYN for illegal activity.
Safety
Customers must provide a reasonably safe environment. Talent should not be required to perform in genuinely unsafe conditions. Specialist services may require licences, insurance, venue permission, risk assessments or equipment agreed in advance.
Intellectual property
TALYN owns or licenses its brand, software, interface and original platform material. Users may not commercially exploit protected material except where law permits. Talent retains ownership of eligible creative work.
Platform availability
We aim to provide a reliable service, but maintenance, third-party failure, security incidents and circumstances outside reasonable control may interrupt access.
Third-party services
TALYN may use providers for payments, mapping, authentication, communications, analytics and infrastructure. Their separate terms and privacy notices may apply.
Suspension and termination
TALYN may reasonably restrict accounts for fraud, safety risk, impersonation, serious or repeated breaches, payment abuse or unlawful activity. Where appropriate, users will receive notice and an appeal route.
Liability
This section requires professional legal drafting. Any limitation must reflect applicable UK contract and consumer law, third-party performance and circumstances outside reasonable control. Nothing excludes liability where doing so is unlawful.
Indemnity
Any indemnity for professional or business users must be proportionate and professionally drafted. TALYN will not impose an unnecessarily broad consumer indemnity.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms removes rights that consumers cannot legally waive. Additional local protections may apply in other countries.
Privacy
Personal information is handled under the TALYN Privacy Policy, including location information and privacy controls.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as TALYN develops. Material changes will receive notice or consent where required, and the effective date will be updated.
Governing law
Governing-law and jurisdiction provisions will be inserted after TALYN's legal entity and structure are confirmed. Mandatory consumer protections may still apply in a user's country.

For general, booking or safety questions, use TALYN Help & Safety. TALYN's confirmed legal entity, registered address and legal contact details will be published before public launch.
